I'm Shanada Lewis, founder of Ummpowered Birth & Wellness.
As a mother of seven, I understand firsthand how pregnancy, birth, aging, stress, and life's experiences can impact the body in ways we often don't expect.
Years ago, I completed professional training with "The Tummy Team" that completely transformed my understanding of core and pelvic floor health. What I learned changed not only the way I supported my doula clients, but also the way I viewed the connection between posture, breath, movement, healing, and overall quality of life.
Since then, I've worked with women navigating everything from postpartum recovery and diastasis recti to bladder leakage, pelvic pressure, core weakness, and the challenges that come with feeling disconnected from their bodies.
What I've noticed is that so many women are struggling silently.
Many believe leakage is just part of motherhood. Many believe pain is simply part of getting older. Many believe surgery is their only option.
But often, there are other paths forward.
That's why I created Rooted Strength, a faith-aligned program designed specifically for Muslim women who want to better understand their bodies, rebuild strength from within, and improve their quality of life.
This is a judgment-free space.
A space where we can talk openly about the things women are often told to keep quiet:
Incontinence
Pelvic floor dysfunction
Core weakness
Diastasis recti
Sexual health concerns
The impact of stress and trauma on the body
Because healing begins when we understand what's happening and know that we don't have to face it alone.
My goal is simple:
To help women feel strong, supported, informed, and confident in their bodies again.
